As the city continues to grow, improving access, safety and usability within the park became a key priority for both Council and the local community.

Developed as part of the Logan Central Civic and Community Precinct Plan, the Logan Gardens Shared Parkway delivers a new 500-metre trafficable shared zone, improved parking, lighting, landscaping and public realm enhancements that strengthen connections throughout the park. The project responds directly to community aspirations for a safer, more accessible and more vibrant public space.

Fennec Studio's team contributed to the landscape and public realm design, creating a shared movement corridor that prioritises pedestrians, cyclists and other active users while remaining carefully integrated within the existing parkland setting. Distinctive pavement treatments, public art, planting and street furniture work together to create a welcoming and highly legible environment that encourages exploration and everyday use.

The design sought to do more than improve access. It aimed to unlock the full potential of Logan Gardens as a destination parkland and community gathering place. By improving safety, reducing parking pressures on surrounding streets and creating better connections throughout the park, the project has helped transform the way residents and visitors experience this important public space.

The completed project demonstrates the value of investing in public realm that puts people first. Through thoughtful design and community-focused outcomes, Logan Gardens has become a more accessible, welcoming and vibrant place for the community it serves.
